Argentina’s Lionel Messi has joined the national team as they prepare for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. He shared a photo on Instagram to celebrate his arrival.
In the post, he is seen walking with a bag and captioned it, “We’ve arrived,” along with an Argentine flag emoji.
Argentina has already qualified for the World Cup, set to take place next summer in the USA, Mexico, and Canada. Messi enjoys reuniting with his teammates and playing, even in matches that won’t affect qualification.
Argentina’s upcoming games are against Venezuela and Ecuador. Although Ecuador is their closest rival, with only two games left and a 10-point gap, they cannot surpass the world champions in the standings.
