Les Pinault: A Dynamic Force Behind Habib Beye’s Success

Habib Beye is hopeful that his troubles are behind him. After a draw against Toulouse (2-2) on Wednesday, the Senegalese coach had been eager for a victory since mid-September. Knowing he needed to win, his players responded by overwhelming Strasbourg (4-1), a feat no other team had achieved this season. This performance may have strengthened the belief of the Breton management in Beye’s ability to turn things around.

According to our sources, the Pinault family wants to provide their coach with optimal support. The shareholders aim to bring in two assistants, including Mathieu Le Scornet, by January. Le Scornet, who previously worked with Strasbourg, is now the Technical Director of PSG’s Training Centre. He had been suggested in January to assist Beye on the bench. However, convincing the coach to adjust his staff, which he fully trusts, may be challenging. Additionally, the Pinaults are also looking to replace Laurent Bessière with Eric Blahic, who is close to Arnaud Pouille and currently handles performance aspects. This could pose a significant setback for Rennes’ president, who had worked to bring Bessière in last May, having collaborated with him before at Lens.
