Levante vs Barcelona: Preview, Prediction and Lineups | La Liga 2025–26

Barcelona continue their La Liga 2025–26 journey with a trip to Valencia, where they face Levante on Saturday evening.

The defending champions made a winning start against Mallorca last weekend, but coach Hansi Flick wasn’t impressed. Despite a two-goal advantage and Mallorca going down to nine men before half-time, Barça only added one more goal in the second half. Flick reportedly warned his players that such performances won’t win them the title again.

Levante, back in La Liga after winning the Segunda Division, didn’t enjoy the same fortune. They lost 2–1 to Alavés on the opening day and are still hunting for their first league victory this season. To make matters tougher, their last win over Barcelona came way back in 2019.

🔎 Team News & Predicted Lineups

Levante’s latest signing, Jon Ander Olasagasti, is doubtful for the match due to a thigh injury. Alfonso Pastor, Kervin Arriaga, Alan Matturro, and Goduine Koyalipou may also miss the clash. On the bright side, Jeremy Toljan, who scored on his debut last week, will feature again.

Levante Predicted XI (3-5-2):
Cunat, Toljan, Dela, Elgezabal, Cabello, Sanchez, Garcia, Rey, Martinez, Brugue, Romero.

For Barcelona, Marc-André ter Stegen remains sidelined long-term. Robert Lewandowski could make his return from the bench, while Ferran Torres is expected to start as the main striker. Frenkie de Jong is available, and Dani Olmo and Jules Koundé could make their league debuts this season.

Barcelona Predicted XI (4-2-3-1):
Garcia, Kounde, Araujo, Cubarsi, Balde, Pedri, de Jong, Yamal, Lopez, Raphinha, Torres.

Prediction

Hansi Flick’s criticism after last week might push Barcelona to raise their intensity. Given their squad depth and Levante’s poor record against the Blaugrana, the visitors are clear favorites.

Prediction: Levante 0–3 Barcelona
