Details have emerged about the recent departure of Tottenham’s chairman Daniel Levy.

On Thursday evening, September 4, news broke that Levy was leaving his role, but reports suggest this was not as straightforward as initially claimed.

Details: Official announcements stated that Levy resigned, but sources from talkSPORT indicate he was actually sacked. This move is reportedly part of the club’s efforts to achieve better results on the field, especially after winning last season’s Europa League.

While Levy remains a shareholder in ENIC, the company’s ownership of the club, he will no longer take part in daily operations at Tottenham. His exit might pave the way for significant changes, especially if he decides to sell his share. The club is currently appealing to potential investors from the United States and the Middle East, highlighting the chance for transformation.

Recall: Over Levy’s 24-year time as chairman, Tottenham won only two trophies: the League Cup in 2008 and the Europa League 17 years later.
