The legendary Argentine responded sharply to the Seattle player.
Leo Messi expressed his frustration during the Leagues Cup final against Seattle.
Details: In the match between Inter Miami and Seattle Sounders, there was a tense moment involving two Argentine players. Lionel Messi confronted 24-year-old Pedro de la Vega, who joined Seattle last year.
Journalist Alan Gordon reported that Messi, during the argument, threatened De la Vega:
“You will never play for the national team while I’m there.” He essentially excluded him right on the pitch. It was quite disgraceful,” Gordon noted on the Major League Journeyman podcast.
Pedro de la Vega previously played for Lanús in Argentina and was part of the youth and Olympic teams.
Reminder: Tempers flared! Players from Inter Miami and Seattle Sounders clashed after the match.
