Inter Miami has bounced back from recent losses with two wins in the MLS, moving up in the Eastern Conference standings. Lionel Messi has played a key role, scoring in both games. Meanwhile, one of his top teammates, who is on loan, has set a condition for staying with the team until 2026.

Jose Armando Rodriguez reported on X, previously Twitter, that Inter Miami aims to keep Tadeo Allende until 2026. His loan ends this year, and the 26-year-old is open to staying, but he wants assurance of playing time. Negotiations have not yet begun.

Since joining Inter Miami in January 2025, Tadeo Allende has become an important player under head coach Javier Mascherano. He has made 42 appearances, scoring 12 goals and providing a key assist. Allende’s impact goes beyond his numbers, as he has developed a strong rapport with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, improving the team’s overall performance.

While Tadeo Allende is part of Inter Miami’s squad, his transfer rights belong to Celta de Vigo, with a contract that runs until June 2028. This complicates negotiations, especially since his impressive performances may attract interest from other clubs, and Celta might consider keeping the talented striker.

Inter Miami faces roster challenges as Allende’s future is uncertain

Javier Mascherano’s hiring as head coach has improved Inter Miami’s competitiveness. However, the team struggles with roster depth. With stars like Messi, Suarez, Rodrigo De Paul, and Jordi Alba, their limited rotation affects their substitution options. Retaining Tadeo Allende is essential for maintaining competitiveness.

In recent matches, only Ian Fray, Baltasar Rodriguez, Telasco Segovia, and newcomer Mateo Silvetti have made an impact off the bench. Limited options in defense and at center forward have forced adjustments, particularly with Suarez out and injuries to Picault and Obando. If Allende’s contract isn’t renewed, they risk losing one of their most dependable players, revealing gaps in their roster.
