Liverpool is keeping an eye on 18-year-old Wolves midfielder Mateus Mane.
Mane has impressed since joining the Wolves first team last month, scoring in consecutive Premier League matches against West Ham and Everton.
He has become the youngest player in Wolves’ history to score in the Premier League, drawing attention for his performances.
Liverpool’s interest comes as Wolves face possible relegation this season, sitting at the bottom of the Premier League, 14 points adrift from safety.
Transfer expert Dean Jones has indicated that Liverpool is at the forefront of the pursuit for Mane, who previously played in the Rochdale academy before moving to Wolves.
“Liverpool is the club I’ve been informed about,” Jones stated. “This is likely due to his agent representing several players there. However, it will be very challenging to retain him.”
