Liverpool Looking at Leeds Defender as Potential Konaté Replacement

Liverpool is reportedly looking to sign Jaka Bijol from Leeds United as a possible replacement for Ibrahima Konate.

Konate’s contract with Liverpool ends this summer, and there have been no updates on a potential renewal.

Real Madrid is among the clubs interested in acquiring the France international as a free agent. Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain have also shown interest as Konate explores his options.

Liverpool has already secured a deal to bring in Rennes defender Jeremy Jacquet, but they are still seeking additional centre-backs.

According to Football Transfers, Bijol is on Liverpool’s list. The Slovenian defender has impressed in the Premier League since joining Leeds from Udinese last summer, particularly with his aerial skills.

At 27, Bijol’s experience in English football makes him an attractive option, especially as the younger Jacquet adjusts to the league. Leeds acquired Bijol for approximately £18 million and would expect a significant profit for his sale.
