One Liverpool icon questions Bruno Fernandes’ comments.
Bruno Fernandes recently revealed to the Portuguese media that he rejected a lucrative transfer from Manchester United this summer.
In his statements, Fernandes indicated that the club was trying to force him out, which he had to resist in order to stay with Manchester United.

Steve Nicol believes Bruno Fernandes is seeking sympathy from Manchester United fans
Former Liverpool player Steve Nicol discussed Bruno Fernandes’ comments on ESPN FC regarding his failed transfer from Manchester United.
Nicol questioned the reasons behind Fernandes’ remarks and what he hopes to achieve.
He also suggested that while Fernandes claims to love the club, he would be quick to leave for a bigger team like Real Madrid.
“I’m trying to figure out why he’s coming out with this anyway,” Nicol stated. “What’s the point? Is he looking for sympathy or a pat on the back? If Real Madrid had come in, would he have stayed? I don’t think so; he’d have been on that plane in no time.”
Bruno Fernandes’ future raises questions again
Fernandes’ comments mirror Mohamed Salah’s recent frustrations with Liverpool regarding his role on the team.
Similar to Salah, Fernandes’ statements have left Manchester United supporters wondering if he is considering a move away and if he is blaming the club for his situation.
Losing Fernandes would be a significant setback for United, as he has been a key player for the club over the past five years.
Perhaps a discussion between Fernandes and the club executives could resolve this issue, but it’s a situation to keep an eye on.
