Even though they lost, Liverpool is still top of the 2024-2025 Premier League standings with 73 points from 31 matches. Meanwhile, Fulham rose to eighth place with 48 points.

In that match, Fulham tried to take the initiative and control the ball a lot in the early minutes. They tried several times to take the lead, but they did not manage to score. Liverpool waited for the right moment to launch a counterattack.

The Reds scored in the 14th minute. Alexis Mac Allister won the ball in the middle, brought it close to the penalty box before kicking it hard into the Fulham goal. The visitors were ahead 1-0.

In the 23rd minute, Ryan Sessegnon scored to make the score 1-1. He got the ball from Liverpool player Curtis Jones just before it went into the goal.

This made the Fulham team play more confidently. They went on to make it 2-1 in the 32nd minute.

Alex Iwobi took advantage of Liverpool’s defensive mistakes, who played a lot in their own territory. Iwobi controlled the ball in the penalty area and kicked it hard, hitting a Liverpool player before going into the goal.

Just five minutes later, Fulham’s lead was made even bigger. This time it was Rodrigo Muniz who scored, getting past Kelleher in the box to shoot. The score was 3-1 at half-time.

In the second half, Liverpool tried to take turns pressing from the start. They created several chances, but they did not score.

Their hard work paid off when Luis Diaz scored in the 72nd minute, turning in a pass from Mohamed Salah in the penalty area.

In the 79th minute, Liverpool almost equalised if only Harvey Elliott’s shot had not hit the opponent’s goalpost.

As the game entered the final minutes, Liverpool had lots of chances to score. Fulham did well to defend their lead, keeping Liverpool at bay until the final whistle.
