Liverpool has announced that Conor Bradley has suffered a serious knee injury and is expected to miss the rest of the season.

Bradley injured his knee during the later stages of Liverpool’s goalless match against Arsenal on Thursday. The incident drew attention when Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli tried to push Bradley off the pitch while he was on the ground in pain.

Martinelli later apologized for his actions, which many pundits criticized after the game.

Liverpool has now confirmed the severity of Bradley’s injury. In an official statement, the club indicated that the Northern Ireland international has sustained a serious knee injury.

There is currently no timeline for Bradley’s return, although it is expected that he will not play again this season.

Additionally, he will miss Northern Ireland’s World Cup playoff matches in March and likely the tournament itself if the team qualifies.

“Liverpool FC can confirm Conor Bradley has sustained a significant knee injury,” the statement noted.

“The right-back suffered the injury during the second half of Thursday night’s Premier League match at Arsenal.

“Bradley is set to undergo surgery in the coming days and will begin his rehabilitation at the AXA Training Centre.

“No specific return date has been provided at this point in the rehabilitation process.”
