With the January transfer window underway, Liverpool has intensified their efforts and secured a promising young player, outbidding Inter Milan.
The club confirmed Mor Talla Ndiaye’s transfer last week, and there are indications that another young centre-back may soon join him at Anfield.
However, this second transfer faced more challenges, as other teams attempted to change Liverpool’s plans. While many will focus on immediate first-team additions this month, the club is actively planning for the future.

Ndiaye and Ifeanyi Ndukwe have been connected throughout January, both viewed as valuable prospects for the club’s future.
Liverpool had already reached an agreement with Ndukwe before the summer window, but reports suggest Inter Milan made attempts to bring him to Italy before he committed to Liverpool.
The Liverpool Echo reported: “Liverpool successfully turned away interest from Inter to secure the centre-back in a deal valued at around £2.5m.”
The interest from another prominent European club highlights his potential.
With only a few transfer options this month, losing one of their key targets would have been disappointing. Fortunately, Ndukwe chose Liverpool and will join the Under-21s next season.
Alongside Ndiaye, Liverpool believes they have secured two future stars to strengthen their defense.
Liverpool has more plans for the transfer window
There are still departures being considered this month, particularly as Juventus shows interest in Federico Chiesa, aiming to bring him back to Turin before the window closes.
Yet, Liverpool likely has additional signings in mind. As top teams in the Premier League continue to strengthen, FSG needs to take action.
Liverpool requires experienced centre-backs who can contribute immediately, not players who will need time to adapt in the coming years.
