Nottingham Forest achieved a 3-0 victory over Liverpool in their match at Anfield. Forest took the lead in the 33rd minute with a well-placed shot from Murillo. Liverpool created several chances but could not find a way to equalize before halftime.
Soon after the second half began, Forest doubled their advantage. Nicolò Zaniolo scored from an assist by Neco Williams, putting Liverpool under greater pressure.
Despite numerous efforts from Mohamed Salah, Alexis Mac Allister, and Dominik Szoboszlai, Liverpool struggled to break down Forest’s defense. In the 78th minute, Morgan Gibbs-White scored with a left-footed shot from inside the box, extending Forest’s lead and securing the win.
Liverpool attempted to change the game by bringing on substitutes including Federico Chiesa, Andy Robertson, and forward Hugo Ekitike. However, they were unable to make an impact against Forest’s organized defense and efficient goal-scoring.
This defeat leaves Liverpool in tenth place in the league standings.
