Anfield buzzed with excitement when Florian Wirtz joined from Bayer Leverkusen for a record fee of £116 million.
The attacking midfielder had already made a name for himself in Europe, playing a key role in Leverkusen’s Bundesliga title win in the 2023/24 season.
However, since his arrival at Liverpool, Wirtz has not yet reached his top form. With some time to adapt, the German international has the potential to play a significant role in Liverpool’s future plans.
