Loaned striker set to make his comeback.

The FC Nantes is set to welcome back an attacker as they struggle with efficiency this season. Currently, they hold the third-worst attacking record in Ligue 1, with only 12 goals scored. According to Ouest-France, Ignatius Ganago is returning to the club in the coming days.

Ganago was on loan at the New England Revolution in Major League Soccer (MLS) since last winter, but he won’t continue there (his loan extension had been granted this summer). The American side announced that they would not activate their €3.5 million option to buy. Limited by injuries, Ganago scored 3 goals and provided 4 assists in 20 appearances in the United States. He is returning to Nantes, where he is contracted until 2027. It remains to be seen if the club will rely on him, considering Matthis Abline is currently the top scorer for the Canaries, having netted 2 goals in Ligue 1 this season.
