Villarreal midfielder Thomas Partey is currently involved in a serious legal matter, facing rape charges that are scheduled to be addressed in court. The hearing, initially set for September 2, has now been postponed, as reported by the Daily Mail.
The new hearing date is September 15, though the reason for the delay has not been shared.
In early August, Partey appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court and was granted conditional bail. As part of his bail conditions, he cannot contact the alleged victims and must notify police of any changes in his address or plans to travel internationally.
In summary, the Ghanaian footballer is accused of five counts of rape involving two women and one count of sexual assault against a third woman. The alleged incidents are said to have occurred between 2021 and 2022. Partey has denied all the charges against him.
