Luis Enrique is expected to ignore interest from Manchester United and extend his contract with Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

Enrique’s current deal with PSG runs until 2027, and the team is eager to negotiate a renewal with him.

The 55-year-old has managed PSG since 2023, leading the team to a historic quadruple last season, which included their first Champions League title with a record 5-0 victory over Inter Milan in the final.

Premier League clubs are keeping an eye on Enrique’s situation as he nears the last year of his contract.

Manchester United has identified him as a key target while looking for a permanent replacement for Ruben Amorim. Tottenham Hotspur has also shown interest due to challenges with results under Thomas Frank.

However, reports indicate that Enrique is not impressed with the direction Manchester United is heading and prefers any new club to be in contention for the Champions League if he leaves PSG. Currently, Manchester United sits in fourth place, aiming to secure a spot in the next season’s competition.

Michael Carrick is currently serving as the interim manager at Manchester United and led the team to a fourth straight league win against Spurs last Saturday. This marks the first time since February 2024 that United has achieved four consecutive victories in the Premier League.
