The management at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) holds head coach Luis Enrique in high regard, with discussions underway for a potential contract extension. The Spanish specialist, now 56 years old, could remain with the club for several more years.
Well-known journalist Ben Jacobs reported on social media platform X that the PSG board is nearing an agreement to extend Enrique’s contract. Although the contract has yet to be officially signed, sources indicate that a verbal agreement was established earlier, alleviating concerns within the club.
At present, PSG is contending for titles in both Ligue 1 and the Champions League. Enrique, who took over as head coach in 2023, led the club to its first Champions League trophy in the 2024/25 season. He now aims to secure the title again as his team prepares to face London’s Arsenal in the upcoming final.
Since his arrival, Enrique has managed a total of 170 matches with PSG, achieving 119 victories, 27 draws, and 24 losses. His current contract is set to run until the summer of 2027.
