A conflict has arisen between the club and the player.

Rodríguez is unhappy with the head coach.

Details: After the La Liga match between Real Madrid and Mallorca at the Santiago Bernabéu, tensions grew within the visiting team.

Midfielder Dani Rodríguez was upset after remaining on the bench without playing. He expressed his frustration to head coach Jagoba Arrasate and took to Instagram to criticize the decision to favor new signing Jan Virhily over him:

“I can’t accept the lack of respect for dedication and commitment. It hurts that a player who just arrived, after only one training session, was given the chance to play ahead of teammates who have defended this shirt for years. They have always put the club first,” Rodríguez wrote.

Rodríguez had brought his family, including his children, to Madrid to watch him play at the famous Bernabéu. They were disappointed when he never took the field:

“A trip with my excited kids to see their father play at the Bernabéu. An important lesson for them: Never expect anything from anyone, especially when hard work is often overlooked. Do it for yourself and your passion. Respect is earned on the field. Always believe in yourself. Achievements are earned, not given. And when you truly want them, they taste even better. I love you, family! You’re the best!”

In response to this incident, Mallorca has suspended Rodríguez, revoking his salary and captaincy.

Reminder: For the first time in 18 years, a referee sent off two Mallorca players in the first half of the match against Barcelona.
