Sundowns now lead second-placed Orlando Pirates by two points, both having played the same number of matches.

Brayan Leon secured the win for Mamelodi Sundowns in a 4-1 match against Chippa United, bringing the Brazilians back to the top of the Betway Premiership.

Leon scored in stoppage time at Loftus Versfeld Stadium, allowing Miguel Cardoso’s team to overtake Orlando Pirates in the PSL standings.

Marcello Allende and Iqraam Rayners scored in the first half, while Sinoxolo Kwayiba netted Chippa United’s only goal during the chilly Easter weekend in Tshwane.

Tashreeq Matthews added Sundowns’ third goal in the final 10 minutes, followed by Leon’s last-minute goal, securing three points for Sundowns at home.
