Manchester United has begun its summer changes by agreeing to sell goalkeeper Altay Bayindir.

The Turkish player has appeared in only 10 league matches since joining the club from Fenerbahce in 2024, where he has been primarily a backup to Andre Onana and Senne Lammens.

United are ready to let the 27-year-old go and have reportedly reached an agreement with Besiktas on a transfer. The Turkish club has agreed to pay €5m (£4.3m) for him, according to reports from Fanatik.

Bayindir’s exit means United will need to find a backup for Lammens, who has performed well in his first season at the club.

Andre Onana’s situation is uncertain, as he is currently on loan at Trabzonspor in Turkey. While there are reports that he wants to stay and compete for his place under the new manager, the club appears more inclined towards a permanent sale. Onana did not meet expectations after his arrival from Inter Milan for £43.8m in 2023.

Another potential option is Radek Vitek, who is on loan at Bristol City. The 22-year-old has been impressive in the Championship and could join the first team next season.
