Manchester United‘s efforts to climb the Premier League table have been dealt a blow, as striker Benjamin Šeško is expected to be out of action for about a month. The 22-year-old player from Slovenia sustained a knee injury during the game against Tottenham Hotspur.
Šeško joined the club from RB Leipzig last summer for a significant fee and has had a promising start, with two goals and one assist in 11 Premier League matches this season. With Šeško sidelined, United will likely have to depend on Joshua Zirkzee as their main striker or possibly use Bruno Fernandes in a more forward position.
Manchester United’s next match is scheduled against Everton at Old Trafford on November 24.
