Manchester United is considering signing a player from Sheffield Wednesday, despite ongoing discussions about Harry Amass’ loan with the team.

Amass has made significant contributions at Hillsborough, quickly establishing himself as a key player and earning acclaim from both fans and analysts.

Ruben Amorim mentioned some challenges for the 18-year-old in terms of team dynamics, but individually, the United academy graduate has stood out.

Clubs from higher up in the Championship are noticing Amass’ performances and may seek to loan him after his current deal ends in January.

However, another player from Wednesday is currently under Manchester United’s radar.

Amass has been the starting left wing-back for Wednesday this season, while 17-year-old Yisa Alao has been his backup.

Alao is considered a top prospect in the academy, attracting interest from both Manchester United and Liverpool.

The Daily Mail indicates that United have made a bid of approximately £450,000, with Liverpool contemplating a similar offer.

Since Alao has yet to sign professional terms with Wednesday, interest from Premier League clubs has increased following his early performances.

He debuted in the league this December, coming on as a substitute for Amass.

Who is Yisa Alao, the young talent attracting interest from Manchester United?

As Sheffield Wednesday faces financial challenges, Manchester United seems ready to assist.

The Red Devils aim not only to provide necessary funds to Wednesday but also to secure a promising young player.

Alao, born on November 17, 2008, in Doncaster, has made three senior appearances this season and continues to play for Wednesday’s U18 team in the FA Youth Cup.

The Star previously reported that Alao impressed first-team coaches after making his Carabao Cup debut at just 16.

If United secures his signing, Alao would likely start with either their U18 or U21 teams rather than joining the first team immediately.
