Manchester United and Real Madrid are interested in signing Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle United this summer.
Guimaraes is an important target for both clubs as they aim to strengthen their midfield. The Brazilian has been one of the standout players in the Premier League since joining Newcastle from Lyon in January 2022.
He played a key role in helping the team secure Champions League qualification twice in three seasons and contributing to the club’s first domestic trophy in 70 years with their League Cup win last season.
According to Reuters, Manchester United is in discussions for a deal around £69m. There is optimism at Old Trafford that an agreement can be reached for the 28-year-old if Newcastle fails to qualify for the Champions League. The Magpies are currently seven points behind the top five with eight matches remaining.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid is also keeping an eye on Guimaraes. The club is considering allowing Eduardo Camavinga to leave this summer and sees the Newcastle captain as a fitting replacement.
