Gianluigi Donnarumma from Manchester City has been named FIFA’s Best Goalkeeper for 2025.
The announcement was made on Wednesday, recognizing the goalkeeper as the best in the world for the past year.
Donnarumma’s accomplishments include winning a quadruple with Paris Saint-Germain, where he played a key role in securing the Champions League for the first time in the club’s history. He then transferred to the Premier League‘s Manchester City over the summer.
This is Donnarumma’s first time winning The Best FIFA Men’s Goalkeeper award, making him the second Italian to receive this honor, following Gianluigi Buffon, who won it in 2017. Donnarumma also won the Yashin Trophy at the recent Ballon d’Or ceremony.
