Elliot Anderson is playing a key role for Nottingham Forest as they work to avoid relegation in the coming weeks.

The midfielder, previously from Newcastle United, has made thirty appearances in the Premier League this season, scoring two goals and providing two assists.

Anderson has created 45 chances, including five big chances. In terms of defense and attack, he has won 245 duels and completed 40 successful dribbles.

These impressive stats and his Premier League experience have caught the attention of Manchester United, which has placed the former Bristol Rovers player on their shortlist of midfield targets for the summer transfer window.

Alongside other potential signings like Sandro Tonali and Joao Gomes, United may revamp their midfield this summer.

However, Anderson’s potential move has been complicated by interest from rivals Manchester City, as reported by Fabrizio Romano.

Romano shared on his YouTube channel that City is in advanced talks with Anderson’s agent, and while nothing is finalized, the club’s interest is evident.

City also previously showed interest in Camden Schaper, who was on Manchester United’s radar.

Pep Guardiola’s team has also outmaneuvered the Red Devils for Keir McMeekin, with a deal expected to be finalized this summer.

The links between Anderson and Manchester City suggest a significant opportunity for both clubs.

A move to either club would allow Anderson to enhance his career by playing alongside top-tier talents.

All eyes will now be on Anderson as he decides which club he will join in the coming months.
