Manchester City heads to Nottingham on Saturday, aiming for a victory that would place them at the top of the Premier League.
Pep Guardiola’s team is in excellent form, having won their last seven matches across all competitions. Importantly, they have achieved three consecutive 3-0 victories in the league. A repeat performance here would set a new record for the English top-flight in consecutive 3-0 wins.
However, the City Ground presents challenges, with City not scoring in half of their previous away games against Forest. Guardiola will be keen to avoid any missteps in the title race.
Rodri is a key player whose fitness is uncertain. He is “much, much better” after a hamstring issue, and a last-minute decision will be made regarding his participation. Additionally, Jérémy Doku is unlikely to play until January.
On the defensive side, John Stones is still sidelined, and Rayan Aït-Nouri and Omar Marmoush are unavailable due to AFCON. This may lead to Nico O’Reilly being included in defense or midfield. Up front, Erling Haaland is looking to add to his tally of 19 goals this season and aims to hit the 20-goal mark before the New Year for a second time.
Manchester City’s expected XI: Donnarumma; O’Reilly, Gvardiol, Dias, Nunes; Reijnders, Nico, Silva; Foden, Cherki; Haaland
This Premier League match will take place at the City Ground on Saturday, 27 December 2025. Kick-off is set for 12:30 pm GMT.
Viewers in the UK can watch the match live on TNT Sports 1 and TNT Sports Ultimate, starting at 11:30 am GMT.
