“The Red Devils” were looking to strengthen their midfield.
The transfer did not go through.
Details: As reported by DailyMail, Manchester United tried to sign 24-year-old defensive midfielder Angelo Stiller from Stuttgart, but he declined the offer from Amorim’s team.
After failing to secure Carlos Baleba from Brighton, United turned their focus to Stiller. However, Stiller chose to stay at Stuttgart, believing it would increase his chances of being called up to Germany’s national team for the 2026 World Cup.
Manchester United plans to revisit Stiller’s situation next summer with a better offer.
Last season, Stiller played 47 matches for Stuttgart, scoring four goals and making 11 assists. His contract with the club runs until 2028, and Transfermarkt estimates his transfer value at €45 million.
