Manchester United may see up to three midfielders leave the club in January.

Kobbie Mainoo has been a topic of discussion in the media, with Napoli showing strong interest.

Manuel Ugarte is rumored to have interest from Turkey, while Casemiro is also being linked with a potential move.

With Mainoo currently injured, along with team captain Bruno Fernandes, the team has faced challenges in midfield depth. They have called up 18-year-old Jack Fletcher to help fill this gap.

Several midfielders have been mentioned as potential signings for United in the January or summer transfer windows, as they aim to catch up to fourth-place Liverpool by just three points.

Names like Adam Wharton, Ruben Neves, Carlos Baleba, Elliot Anderson, and Conor Gallagher, who all have experience in the Premier League, have been listed.

According to The Sun, United plans to loan midfielder Toby Collyer again in January, even though they currently have selection concerns in midfield.

Collyer, 21, previously played for West Bromwich Albion earlier this season, making 12 appearances before a calf injury cut his loan spell short in November.

A loan for Collyer in January is still possible if he regains fitness while training at United’s Carrington facility.

Collyer has some first-team experience at Manchester United, debuting during the 2024 FA Community Shield against Manchester City.

His Premier League debut was in a 3-0 defeat against Liverpool at Old Trafford, and he first appeared in the FA Cup during a penalty shootout victory over Arsenal.

He also made his UEFA Europa League debut in a 2-1 win against Rangers.

In January 2025, Collyer had a notable moment for United, receiving accolades after clearing the ball off the line in a Premier League win against Fulham.
