Manchester United striker Antony has reportedly given the green light to move to Al Nassr, with the Saudi Pro League club seriously interested in signing the Brazilian this summer.

Antony shone on loan at Real Betis in the second half of last season, scoring nine goals and providing five assists in 26 appearances for the Spanish club in all competitions.

The Brazilian is not known to be in Ruben Amorim’s plans for next season, but a permanent transfer to Real Betis is considered unlikely at this stage due to Manchester United’s high transfer fee.

The 20-time English champions need to sell the striker for £32.5 million to avoid a loss in PSR terms, and there has recently been speculation linking Antony with a move to the Saudi Pro League.

“What I can say is that the player is currently on the market, and there are several clubs who want to know his current status,” said Pedroso.

“We listened to all the projects and analyzed them. However, he is open to moving to Saudi Arabia. Anything is possible; we are looking for the best for him,” he added.

According to a TEAMtalk report, Al Nassr are currently in talks with Manchester United regarding the transfer of Antony, with the Saudi Pro League club reportedly having submitted the first proposal.

The report states that Manchester United are asking for €50 million for Antony, who has expressed interest in playing alongside Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Nassr.

Regular playing time is believed to be a key factor for Antony in choosing his next club, as he has ambitions of representing Brazil at the 2026 World Cup.

If Manchester United manage to sell Antony for over £40 million this summer, it would be a very profitable deal considering how poor his performances have been since moving to Old Trafford from Ajax.

Antony only managed 12 goals and five assists in 96 appearances in all competitions for the Red Devils, but he was outstanding in the second half of last season while on loan at Real Betis.

Atletico Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen are also reportedly interested in the Brazilian, but he could soon move to Ronaldo’s Al Nassr side on a lucrative deal.

After a disappointing 15th-place finish in the Premier League at the end of the 2024/25 season, a number of senior players are likely to leave, including Antony.

Despite winning the Carabao Cup in 2023 and the FA Cup in 2024, United’s league form has declined significantly in the last 12 months, and they will not be participating in the Champions League for the second year in a row.
