Two months ago, Manchester United made the decision to part ways with Ruben Amorim and appointed Michael Carrick as the caretaker manager.

So far, it appears to be a good choice.

Carrick, a former United player, competed with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for the interim role but secured the position.

After ten matches, United’s only loss under Carrick was a 2-1 defeat to Newcastle.

Carrick has helped stabilize the situation at Old Trafford, positioning the team well for a Champions League spot next season.

Initially, Carrick was meant to manage just for the remainder of the season while the club searched for a top-tier manager in the summer.

According to Sky Sports, United has not yet reached out to any potential managers, with only two months left in the season.

The club’s management believes there is no hurry to secure a permanent manager given Carrick’s positive impact so far.

Under Carrick, United has claimed 23 out of a possible 30 points, marking a significant improvement compared to this time last year.

This progress has contributed to the lack of urgency in hiring an “elite” manager, with many suggesting that Carrick should be given the permanent position.

Originally, United was linked with managers like Thomas Tuchel and Carlo Ancelotti, but both have extended their contracts with their respective teams.

Luis Enrique has also renewed his contract at PSG, but these developments haven’t pressured United to find a new manager or attract someone from their current job.
