Fulham’s coach Marco Silva stated that his team’s ‘superiority’ over Tottenham Hotspur was evident after their 2-1 victory at Craven Cottage.

Goals from Harry Wilson and Alex Iwobi secured three points for Fulham, moving them up to ninth in the league.

Fulham took control early, scoring two goals in the first 34 minutes and rarely looked threatened after that.

Wilson scored the first goal in the seventh minute, although Spurs were unhappy about it. They believed the goal should have been ruled out due to a push by Raul Jimenez on Radu Dragusin, recalling a similar incident from their previous match against Arsenal. VAR upheld the goal, and Iwobi soon added a second with a volley.

Richarlison managed to score for Spurs, who are struggling this season, but Igor Tudor’s team couldn’t find an equalizer. The win keeps Fulham’s hopes alive for European competition next year.

In a post-match interview with Sky Sports, Silva expressed satisfaction with the performance: “We deserved this win. Our superiority was clear from the start to the end, and we created many chances. We were efficient in the first half, and despite some struggles in the second, we still generated opportunities.”

“It’s crucial to close out the game with a third goal, especially when they managed to score one. Overall, I’m happy with our performance and the quality shown in our chances created inside the box.”

“Defensively, we can improve, especially on their goal. Still, congratulations to the players—we deserved the three points, and now we look ahead.”
