Manchester United has faced many controversial referee decisions this season, and the impact is being felt.
While they aim for a top-four finish, a few key decisions could have put them in a better position.
Referee Mark Clattenburg has pointed out that some calls have not gone in United’s favor, drawing attention from both fans and players.
The latest incident occurred against Bournemouth when Antoine Semenyo was not penalized for grabbing Diogo Dalot by the neck.
This incident is just one in a series of frustrating calls this year, prompting the club to take action.

Casemiro’s red card against Chelsea further added to the frustration. The call was seen as soft and sparked considerable discussion.
Feeling overwhelmed by these decisions, United believes a change is necessary.
According to the Daily Mail, the club plans to meet with PGMOL chief Howard Webb early next year to address these concerns.
They are unhappy with several decisions this season, believing these could affect their quest for a top-four finish.
While manager Ruben Amorim has not directly commented, others at Old Trafford are increasingly vocal about the frequency of these issues.
One notable situation was when Webb apologized for not sending off Nathan Collins in Brentford’s 3-1 win, after he denied a clear scoring chance.
Incidents like this have only intensified United’s frustrations.
United’s bold decision aims to mitigate future refereeing errors amid the ongoing issues every week.
Former Premier League referee Mark Clattenburg spoke with United in Focus, stating that the club’s grievances could negatively affect the league.
“All clubs face problems with refereeing decisions, and each position in the Premier League can be worth over £1 million,” he said.
“This season is tightly contested, with wins significantly impacting standings. Just two seasons ago, Nottingham Forest’s complaints had adverse effects on them.”
“When a major club raises concerns about refereeing standards, it can create complications for the Premier League and PGMOL.”
“In today’s world, mistakes affecting clubs financially cannot be accepted.”
