The Ivorian striker is retiring at 35.
Matthis Bolly has chosen to end his football career after being without a club since leaving Lillestrøm SK. The former Ivorian international, who played five matches for his national team, participated in the 2014 World Cup. He announced his retirement on Monday, April 6, through a statement on his Instagram account.
I have many great memories to cherish! Thanks to my early clubs Lyn, Oppsal, and Holmlia, the Lillestrøm youth team, and all the senior clubs I played for. I am grateful to my teammates and the friends I made along the way. Wearing the national team jersey was a huge honor for me! Finally, a big thank you to everyone who supported me throughout my journey. Takk! Thank you! Ayoka!
