Galatasaray captain Mauro Icardi has expressed his sadness over the death of fashion icon Giorgio Armani. He shared his feelings on Instagram.
Icardi posted a picture with Armani, writing: “The world has lost a giant, but as he himself once said: ‘Elegance is not attracting attention, but remaining in the memory.’”
Giorgio Armani had strong connections to football, working with several major clubs like Juventus and Bayern Munich, as well as the Italian national team.
Mauro Icardi met the renowned designer during his time at Inter Milan.
Currently, Icardi plays for Turkish club Galatasaray, where he became captain this season after Fernando Muslera stepped down. He has played three matches so far this season and scored two goals.
