With this win, Inter Miami has advanced to the MLS Cup Conference Semifinals for the first time in its history. They will face FC Cincinnati in an away match later this month.
The game, played at Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, started with Miami on the attack. Messi scored the first goal with one of his trademark runs and a fine finish. He quickly doubled the lead following an impressive buildup with Jordi Alba and the young striker Silvetti. Nashville found it difficult to handle Miami’s energetic midfield, led by Busquets and De Paul. In the second half, Tadio Allende added two more goals, both from Messi’s assists, as Miami cruised to a comfortable victory.
