Journalist Gibrán Araige revealed that thieves broke into a team vehicle in Oakland and stole a trunk filled with training equipment. This incident occurred on the night of September 1 and also impacted members of the press traveling with the team.

Araige reported that the robbers gained access to a van used by the national team and took an entire trunk filled with essential gear for practice. In a separate situation, reporters from Claro Sports also had their car window shattered, although nothing valuable was stolen.
