AC Milan will play Fiorentina in the Italian Serie A League. The match will be held at the San Siro Stadium in Milan on Sunday, 4 June 2025 at 12.15 am IST. It will be an exciting match, as both teams are fighting for a place in next season’s European competitions.

Fiorentina will have the advantage of playing at home, having already collected more points than Milan. Fiorentina are eighth in the Serie A standings with 51 points, while Milan are just below them with 47 points.

Milan drew 1-1 with Inter Milan in the first leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final on Wednesday (2/4/2025).

Before they meet Inter again in the fifth and final Derby della Madonnina of the season, Milan must keep their place in the Italian Serie A. Their main target is still to get into the Champions League next season.

The Rossoneri are fighting to be one of the teams that can play in Europe, and they have to beat Juventus, Lazio, Bologna, Roma and Fiorentina to do it.

Things might change quickly for Sergio Conceicao at Milan, as the club’s board of directors, led by special advisor Zlatan Ibrahimovic, is preparing to replace him next summer.

Milan have won their last four home games against Fiorentina. La Viola want to beat Mike Maignan and his team to get three points. If they win, Milan will be just one point behind Fiorentina.

Having won 2-1 in the last match between the two teams in October, Fiorentina now have the chance to beat Milan twice in a row for the first time in 24 years.

Team News

The team, managed by Raffaele Palladino, have already secured a place in the quarter-finals of the Conference League and will be looking to beat Milan at the San Siro.

Fiorentina must be able to take advantage of Sergio Conceicao, who has not found the best formation for the front line. Conceicao must choose between Santiago Gimenez and Tammy Abraham to lead Milan’s attack in the Milan vs Fiorentina match. Abraham will probably be in the starting lineup, having just scored against Inter.

Rafael Leao is playing on the left. Alex Jimenez is suspended. This means that players like Riccardo Sottil and Samuel Chukwueze might get to play. Christian Pulisic might move to the right.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Emerson Royal are still out, but US midfielder Yunus Musah is expected to recover from the illness that kept him out of last Wednesday’s derby and compete for a place in midfield.

After missing the match against his former club Atalanta because of a minor knee injury, Fiorentina defender Robin Gosens is hoping to return to the San Siro, where he once played for Inter.

La Viola will once again be without Andrea Colpani, but Raffaele Palladino should have a full squad to choose from.

Moise Kean is set to start the game, which will be his 200th appearance. The Italian forward is hoping to score or help to score 20 goals in Serie A this season. He has scored 16 goals and set up three more.

The two teams have drawn just once in their last 14 meetings. La Viola have bounced back by not letting the other team score in their last two games and have picked up maximum points against top-four rivals Juventus (3-0) and Atalanta (1-0). They are well placed to secure at least a draw in tonight’s Milan vs Fiorentina.

Predicted lineups for Milan vs Fiorentina:

Milan: Maignan; Walker, Gabbia, Thiaw, Hernandez; Fofana, Bondo; Pulisic, Reijnders, Leao; Abraham

Fiorentina: De Gea; Pongracic, Mari, Ranieri; Dodo, Fagioli, Cataldi, Mandragora, Gosens; Gudmundsson, Kean
