Minnesota United and Philadelphia Union Clinch Spots in 2025 MLS Cup Playoffs

Minnesota United and the Philadelphia Union have secured their places in the Audi 2025 MLS Cup Playoffs, as reported by MLSsoccer.com. Both teams achieved this on Saturday, August 30, with five regular-season games still to play.

Minnesota marked their sixth playoff appearance in seven years after a 1-1 draw with the Portland Timbers. Under coach Eric Ramsay, the team is currently second in the Western Conference with 51 points (14 wins, 6 losses, 9 draws). Their offense is led by Designated Player Kelvin Yeboah, who has scored nine goals since Canadian forward Tani Oluwaseyi joined Villarreal. In midfield, Dominik Fitz partners with Argentine DP Joaquín Pereyra and Finnish international Robin Lod.
