Details: Reports from GSP.RO clarify that rumors about the death of 80-year-old coach Mircea Lucescu are untrue. He is currently battling for his life, despite being in critical condition.
This morning, at the request of Lucescu’s family, a meeting took place with top doctors in the country. They have decided to continue his treatment as planned. However, if his condition declines, heart surgery and the use of a mechanical circulatory support system, known as ECMO, will be necessary.
If surgery is required, it will be conducted by a skilled Romanian doctor who is currently practicing in France.
