Cesc Fabregas has admitted Como must show bravery when they face Inter Milan, while stressing his side is still developing.
Speaking ahead of the encounter, the Como boss reflected on previous meetings with the Nerazzurri, where his team struggled to impose itself.
“In specific moments we should have made the difference, we didn’t score, and we didn’t win,” Fabregas said.
“We were a bit naive in some situations in the 4-0. Carlos Augusto and Thuram scored on the counter. We hope to have a better day tomorrow.”
Despite acknowledging the quality gap, the Spaniard made his tactical expectation clear.
“Tomorrow we must score, play with courage,” he added. “We know who Inter are and we know we can lose, they have players who make the difference. Mathematically, the more quality players you have, the more you win. But we will face them with the conviction to win.”
However, Fabregas was keen to temper expectations around his project, insisting the bigger picture matters more than a single result.
“With seven games left, we have six more points than last season, and we are in the Coppa Italia semi-final,” he explained.
“But we cannot forget that we are at the beginning of a journey, not even halfway through it. Let people talk.”
