Charlotte FC is looking to offer Harvey Elliott an opportunity to leave Aston Villa.
Elliott joined Aston Villa on loan from Liverpool this summer but has had trouble getting playing time.
Aston Villa wants to end the loan deal to avoid a £35 million fee that would kick in based on his appearances. So far, Elliott has played only 97 minutes in three Premier League matches.
This has been a tough time for the winger, who was recognized as Player of the Tournament during England’s U-21 European Championship win this summer.
As he has already played for both Liverpool and Aston Villa this season, he cannot join another team competing in the same season as the Premier League.
His choices are either to stay at Liverpool until summer or move to a team whose season starts in 2026, like those in MLS or Scandinavia.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Charlotte FC is preparing to sign Elliott on loan until June.
