Mo Salah will leave Liverpool for free this summer, even though he has one year left on his contract.

The Egyptian winger made the announcement about his departure at the end of the current season, ending his remarkable nine-year stint at Anfield.

The 34-year-old shared this decision early to inform fans about his future, as a gesture of respect for their loyalty throughout the years.

Liverpool has reportedly agreed to end his contract at the season’s conclusion, similar to the arrangement made when Jurgen Klopp left the club in 2024. This will allow Salah to join another club without a transfer fee during the summer window.

His future destination is still uncertain. Salah’s agent, Ramy Abbas Issa, stated on social media, “We do not know where Mohamed will play next season. This also means that no one else knows. Beware of attention seekers.”
