After his comments following Liverpool’s 3-3 draw with Leeds United last month, there are ongoing discussions about Mohamed Salah’s future at Anfield.
Salah returned to the team under Arne Slot in December, contributing to Liverpool’s win over Brighton and Hove Albion. Since then, he has not commented on his future.
Now joining Egypt for AFCON duty, he hasn’t directly addressed speculations surrounding his career.
There have been mentions of the MLS and Saudi Arabia as potential destinations for Salah in 2026, along with new links emerging recently.

Real Madrid is the latest club linked with a move for the Liverpool star.
According to Defensa Central, Salah has been offered to Real Madrid by his agent as a possible short-term substitute for Kylian Mbappe, who is currently sidelined due to injury.
The report states that Salah’s representatives are gauging interest in Europe and have proposed a six-month loan deal worth €12m.
However, considering the hefty loan fee, it’s unlikely that an agreement will be reached between both parties.
Liverpool could regret their decision regarding Mohamed Salah
Salah is still on international duty, with his next appearance scheduled for this Monday.
Once he returns, there is a strong argument for Slot to include him in the starting line-up, especially with Liverpool’s attacking struggles in the past three matches.
However, Slot may choose to maintain his earlier decision. Prior to the recent comments, Salah had already been benched for three consecutive league games.
Liverpool’s stance on Slot has remained unchanged after Salah’s remarks, but this could be a potential mistake.
If Salah’s situation leads to his departure in January while Slot remains, Liverpool may end up regretting their choice.
