Monaco Triumphs Over Torino, Strasbourg Falls to Udinese Despite Panichelli’s Efforts

The time has come for Ligue 1 teams to make their final adjustments. With just over two weeks to go until the season resumes on 16 August, French clubs are finalising their preparations. This afternoon, Monaco played their fifth pre-season match against Torino. They met the standard with another victory (3–1). Mika Biereth (16th minute), Lamine Camara (45th minute) and Aleksandr Golovin (63rd minute) scored Monaco’s three goals, while Gineitis opened the scoring in the sixth minute. The victory was secured under the watchful eye of president Dmitri Rybolovlev.

Meanwhile, Strasbourg were beaten by Udinese earlier today. Despite Strasbourg’s new signing Joaquin Pachinelli scoring the first goal, Liam Rosenior’s team conceded two goals to Vakoun Bayo and Frenchman Arthur Atta. Elsewhere, Brest continued their winning streak by beating Le Havre, with Kamory Doumbia scoring the winning goal. Le Havre have gone three preseason games without a win (against Le Mans, Angers and Brest). Finally, Auxerre were held to a 0–0 draw by Grenoble.
