On Saturday, August 30, the eighth edition of the African Nations Championship concluded in Nairobi, featuring a match between Morocco and Madagascar.
Morocco started the game as the favorites, but just nine minutes in, they found themselves trailing. However, thanks to goals from Mehri and Lamlioui, Morocco not only equalized before halftime but also took the lead.
Madagascar fought hard and equalized in the 68th minute, but Lamlioui scored again, securing the win for Morocco.
This victory marks Morocco’s third title in the African Nations Championship, having previously won in 2018 and 2020.
