A rather sad reason.
Nasreddine Nabi, the coach who helped Kaizer Chiefs win a trophy after a long dry spell, has confirmed his departure from the team.
Details: Nabi is no longer the head coach as he needs to support his wife following her recent car accident. He is not ready to return to coaching just yet.
Quote: “My departure from Kaizer Chiefs was a mutual decision with the club’s management after a successful and challenging period. Right now, I need time to rest, focus on my family, and take care of my wife’s health, which has required my presence in recent months.
Several major African and Arab clubs have contacted me, but I do not plan to negotiate with anyone, as my current focus is on taking a break and resting,” Nabi said in an interview with North African outlet WinWin.
