Last night, Achraf Hakimi was honored with the African Ballon d’Or. The Moroccan was deeply moved as he received this significant trophy. “This recognition crowns years of hard work, success, and unforgettable moments. I want to express my gratitude to my family, teammates, and everyone who works with me daily, both on and off the field. Your trust, dedication, and support make me stronger and push me to improve. Thank you to the Moroccan people for always supporting me. I hope this moment inspires every child in our country and throughout our continent to believe in their dreams and fight to achieve them,” he wrote on his social media.
Present at the gala held in Rabat, Nasser Al-Khelaifi couldn’t hide his pride. Just minutes before his player’s triumph, he told the media: “For me, Achraf is one of the best in the world. And clearly, the best African player. He is a leader at PSG and the captain of Morocco. We are all proud of him.” Some teammates, including Ousmane Dembélé, also celebrated his victory.
