This will be a historic event.
This project is gaining momentum.
Details: According to Marca, Adam Silver has indicated that plans for a men’s basketball tournament in Europe, in collaboration with FIBA, are advancing quickly.
“We have discussed opportunities in Europe. The discussions have been led by Deputy Commissioner Mark Tatum, who is here with us. This summer, we met with various stakeholders in Europe, including clubs interested in joining the league, media companies, and our federation and FIBA. This opportunity continues to generate a lot of excitement,” said Silver.
Additionally, the project aims to include organizations that already have both football and basketball teams, not to create new basketball teams based on existing football clubs.
Reminder: New format. The NBA will change the All-Star Game model in 2026.
