Newcastle United Set to Make Major Offer for Real Madrid Midfielder

Footem.inNewcastle United is reportedly preparing to make an offer of €50 million, approximately Rp845 billion, to acquire midfielder Real Madrid‘s Eduardo Camavinga, despite the player currently recovering from several physical issues and not having played this season.

Eduardo Camavinga has faced a challenging start to his season at Real Madrid. Injuries and fitness concerns have hindered his ability to play regularly, preventing him from showcasing his best form.

Nonetheless, the 22-year-old French midfielder continues to have the full trust of Xabi Alonso, who believes he can still become a vital part of the Los Blancos squad.

As the international break approaches, Camavinga hopes to return to the pitch alongside his teammates.

At the same time, his name is making headlines regarding interest from other major clubs, including Newcastle United.

Newcastle’s Major Offer

According to Defensa Central, Newcastle intends to sign Camavinga as part of their ambition to strengthen their midfield.

The Premier League club is reportedly ready to submit a proposal of €40 million (Rp676 billion) plus an additional €10 million (Rp169 billion) in bonuses, bringing the total to €50 million (Rp845 billion).

Newcastle views Camavinga as a world-class midfielder who could elevate their playing quality. Last season, he made 35 appearances, logging 2,082 minutes, and recorded two goals and two assists.

Real Madrid Reluctant to Let Go

Despite Newcastle’s serious intentions, their plan is expected to face challenges. Real Madrid has no intention of selling Camavinga, seeing him as a crucial part of their long-term project.

Since joining from Rennes in the summer of 2021 for around €30 million, Camavinga has played 180 matches for El Real and scored four goals.

Although he has been linked with PSG and other major clubs, Camavinga’s dream has been to play at Santiago Bernabéu. After winning numerous titles with Real Madrid, his desire to remain at the Spanish capital club is as strong as ever.
